Dress comfortably (814-643-4802) See what our customers who attended All Herb Day thought! Using fresh herbs has always been a mystery to me. I use the usual dried ones like basil, oregano and a few others. So, when Annie said she was having a an Herb Walk. I was the first one to sign up. I have a few plants but was unsure of what I was going to do with them. Annie opened the door for me to be a little "adventurous". Just go for it! So, whatever I am cooking now, I think "what little green leaves can I throw into the pot" that might make this taste better. Our day opened as a very casual gathering in her back yard. We were offered a spicy little glass of tomato juice that we drank through a Lovage herb plant straw! Pretty neat! Annie talked for hours about different herbs and their culinary and medicinal uses, giving us ideas that we could take home and try. We had a wonderful., little lunch and got to tour the "mansion". What a spectacular home! My overall feeling was one of wonder about all that we can do with these plants. Also, learning about the healing powers of some of these plants was amazing. We can eat better tasting food and maybe be curing whatever ails us at the same time! It was an enjoyable, interesting day for me. We (the Huntingdon Community) are very fortumate to have Annie here. What a wealth of knowledge she is so willing to share. I can't wait to learn more at Annie's next gathering. Pam Hess
